We were looking for a spot to have an early dinner that was light on carbs & came across this spot. The servers were really kind and checked up on us often! It was a great place to get a variety of skewers & still have a light but filling dinner. My favorite was the yakitori negima & sori.

I made a reservation for 7:30pm on a Monday night and was seated right away when we arrived. You can choose to sit at the bar or a table; we sat by the bar and it was super hot due to the grills being there. Next time I would choose to sit at a table. I ordered the heart stamina, yakitori negima, chicken heart, miso pork belly, scallop and a glass of sapporo beer. My favorites are the heart stamina and scallop. The heart stamina included chicken thigh, heart and skin. The chicken thigh is juicy and tender. The scallop was cooked well and was super sweet. I really liked the sauce that was included on top of each scallop. We also got the tori karaage appetizer to share and the karaage pieces are huge! Super good value for the price. The prices of each yakitori are also very reasonable for SF pricing! Overall I think the food is delicious and the pricing is great.

Usually I try not to review a place if I've tried a very limited selection of the menu, but the beef short ribs skewer from the Grab & Go Menu was sooo good. The beef was tender and juicy, and the signature yakitori sauce it came with was amazing! If I could buy a bottle of that sauce, I would put it on every food I came into contact with. Overall, a delicious small bite (for $6 a skewer) to eat on the go while hanging around Japan Center.

Came back for dinner! Forgot to take pics since I was so excited, but not much has changed -- perhaps better! I ordered the dinner yakitori set but they ran out of one of the skewers, so they asked us to choose any other meat skewers instead, even if it's pricier than the set menu selection. Attentive, friendly service, and everything came out hot & cooked to perfection. High quality meat as usual, reasonable price for what I get. Love their chicken heart yakitori since it's the perfect chewiness. It's not rubbery like other cheap yakitori places. Tried bonjiri (chicken tail) for the first time, and I liked the texture -- fatty but not to the point where you're drinking fat oil, and I mean this in a good way! I'm glad I tried it! Excited to come back and try other appetizers or yakitoris :))) I like how their selections are simple but done well with good quality meat.
